

Naomi J. McCann 84 of Oviedo, Fl. formerly of Chicopee, Mass. was called home to be reunited with her mother who she loved and missed very much. Naomi passed away on December 7th 2020 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born Sept.11,1936 she was the daughter of Charles (bud) Atkinson and Mina I. Wilford who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, James L. (Debbie) McCann, Jr. of Oviedo, Fla.; her daughters, Jamie L. (Fred) Wilds and Catherine (Thomas) Wilds, all of North Sewickley Twp. She considered Jeffrey (Julie) Gormley of Chicopee, Mass as her own son she leaves behind seven grandchildren, Jason Wilds, Justin Wilds, Krystal Wilds, Brittany (David) Betters, Sarah (Gabriel) Sauer, Hayley (Blaine) Calhoon and Zachery (Jennifer) McCann; and 8 great-grandchildren, Violet, Emery, Rowan, Jonathan David; Dominic, Lucas and Dashiel and many nieces and nephews.
Naomi enjoyed golf, reading and watching the Patriots (go pats) she loved crocheting and would make Afghans and sweaters for family and friends which showed her generosity and kindness. She enjoyed bingo, playing the lottery and taking bus trips to the casino. She couldn't wait for someone to call and say they were visiting so she could make her famous cabbage rolls or chicken and dumplings to feed her guests. She was affectional known as Omie by those who loved her. Her and her partner Anna Marie (cookie) of 50 years retired from Spalding Sport Worldwide now Callaway Golf in Chicopee, Mass. and moved to Florida where she made many friends and enjoyed going to parties and functions in the retirement community where they resided. She enjoyed the little things in life like eating out and riding her golf cart stopping to chat with neighbors and meeting new friends. She was especially fond of her beloved Shish Tzu ( Ripley). She will be sadly missed by all.
All funeral services were private, arrangements by the SAUL - GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68 Rochester (Adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.) The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Heritage Valley Beaver, including Lydia, Bev, Jimmy, Gina Marie, Leah, and Kathy, the supervisor of the Emergency Department, HVB.
