

Norman B. Javens, age 90, of Brighton Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Born January 22, 1931 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Norman R. and Eva McKee Javens.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Norm was employed for 57 years as a moving consultant for Peluso Moving Company and Graebel Movers. Norm was a member and elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls. He was also a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 50+ years, the Cranberry Bogmeisters Barbershop Chorus, and the Beaver East Gideon Camp.
Norm’s passions were gardening and singing, whether in his church choir or with barbershop choruses. Norm will be remembered as a loving husband, “second Dad”, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Norm is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ella Mae Barnhart Javens, his stepdaughter, Karen (David) Reese of Beaver; five grandchildren, Shannon (Chuck) Hanton, Dane Reese, Colin (Abby) Reese, Marcus Mattes, and Meghan Mattes; and three great-grandchildren, Chase, Chelsea and Ella.
In addition to his parents, Norm was preceded in death by his step-son, Ken Mattes; two brothers, Leonard and Melvin; and a sister, Patsy.
