

Paul was born September 10, 1963 in Rochester, son of the late Paul C. Rechel, Sr., and Betty J. (Oakes) Rechel.
He was employed with Passavant Memorial Homes until January 2012. Paul also was the owner and operator of Oakhill Labradors during which time he bred many fine AKC English Labs. Also, during the last few years he was fortunate to travel throughout our beautiful country.
Paul attended the New Brighton Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father: Walter Rechel; brother: Bruce Etzel and Sister: Mary Etzel.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 22 years: Melissa (Nelle) Rechel; his beloved mother: Betty J. Rechel, Freedom; one son: Joshua (Felicia) Rechel, Koppel; three grandchildren who he adored: Konnor, Nickolas and Averie; two brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Marla Etzel, Columbus, OH; David and Linda Etzel, Beaver; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Nancy (Howard) Halfhill, Beaver; Sue Rothstein, Freedom; Kim (Randy) Shaffer, Rochester.
Friends will be received Friday, July 11, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). His funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday in the funeral home with the Reverend Donald W. MacNeil, officiating. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
