Rocco Scundi

He was born May 4, 1934 in Italy to the late Francisco and Maria (Pezzano) Scundi. Rocco retired from J&L Steel in Aliquippa. He loved to be with his family and having the best barbecues, he loved gardening, making vases, homemade wine and homemade sausage. Rocco was adored by all of his family and friends, because he always put them first. He touched the lives of many people who he came in contact with and he was truly a lovable person and will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his Loving wife of 58 years; Giuseppina (Scimone) Scundi, son; Frank and his girlfriend Cindy, daughters; Maria (Marty) Garrity, Lisa Scundi, three grandchildren: Rocco (Brooke) Scundi, Gabrielle Scundi, Micheala (Brandon) Tipp, great-grandson; Owen Jeffrey Tipp, three sisters; Teresa Leggio Scundi, Antionetta (Frank) Staltario, Caterina (Frank) Muscatello, sister-in-law; Joesphine Scundi, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rocco was preceded in death by his brothers; Leonardo, Tom, and John, sister: Grazia Fronzaglia, a sister-in-law; Theresa Scundi, brothers-in-law: Sam Fronzaglia, Tony Leggio, and a deceased niece; Maria.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. 273 Rt. 68 Rochester, PA. 15074. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church Rochester/Our Lady of the Valley Parish.

Entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
