

Rose Pia Deluca, 104, of Beaver, formerly of Monaca, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018, while under the compassionate care of VITAS Hospice. Rose was born June 26, 1913 in Italy, daughter of the late Renaldo and Alessandra (Ziccone) Pico. Rose was a loving and kind lady who made friends easily. Through the years she had a number of very close friends with whom she shared many of life’s experiences.
A woman of faith and member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Monaca, she was a devoted and active member of the Christian Mothers for many years.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded by her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Allen (Kathleen) DeLuca, Murrells Inlet, SC; one daughter: Sandra DeLuca, Pittsburgh; two grandchildren: Lynn (Christopher) Winter, Boston, MA; and Mark (Nicole) DeLuca, Tampa; four great grandchildren: Alexa and Luca Winter; Kennedy and Parker DeLuca.
Friends will be received today, Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1409 Pennsylvania Ave, Monaca, PA 15061. The public is invited to arrive directly at the church Monday morning. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
