

Stanley Jankovic, 89, of New Sewickley Township, formerly of Sharpsburg, passed on Monday, November 7, 2011. He was born June 2, 1922 in West Brownsville, PA, son of the late Ivan and Mary (Medjuran) Jankovic. Stanley proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from the Penn Central Railroad after 35 years of service.
Stanley had a love for the outdoors and a passion for fly fishing. He enjoyed the sport so much he would fish at any given opportunity. He also taught himself to tie his own flies. He felt fortunate that his passion was shared with his sons and his grandson.
In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Frank and Joseph.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 43 years: Lois (Crowe) Jankovic; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Stanley (Julie) Jankovic, Dravosburg, PA; Mark (Rachel) Jankovic, Rochester, PA; Frank Jankovic and James “Jim” Jankovic, both of New Sewickley Township; a grandson: Matthew Jankovic; two sisters-in-law: Mary White, South Beaver Township; Betty (Charles) Kimberling, Tyrone, PA; many loving nieces and nephews.
