Born October 22, 1946 in New Brighton, Tim was the youngest son of the late Homer and Mildred (Moore) Stump. He was a 1964 graduate of Freedom Area High School and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Qui Nhon, Vietnam during the Vietnam War. When he returned home, he finished out his service term as a Game Warden at Camp A.P. Hill in Milford, VA. It was there that he met and fell in love with his wife of over 55 years, Kathy (Williams) Stump. Together, they returned to Tim’s home in New Sewickley Township to raise their family, and once they both retired, they re-located to the Gulf Coast to enjoy their golden years together. Tim was kind and generous; he loved meeting new people and spending time with his family and friends, catching up or just enjoying each other’s company with good music, good scotch, and good cigars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas L. Stump. He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife, Kathy of Bush, LA, his daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and David Cary of Conway, his granddaughter Andrea Cary of Harmony Township, his step-grandson and his wife, Matthew and Madeline (Margraf) Cary and step great-grandchildren Eliza and Miles, all of Old Town, ME.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1pm until the time of the Memorial Service with full military honors at 3pm at SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, 273 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to his favorite charities, Beaver County Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
