Arlene Rose Elder

She married John Elder on February 24, 1973. She was an avid bingo player, loved the Minnesota Vikings, and the WWE. Arlene loved and adored her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and sister.

Arlene is survived by her husband, John Elder; her mother, Beverly Ann Jensen; her children, Randy (Jennifer) Elder, Charlie (Angela) Elder, and Beth (Brandon) Freeman; grandchildren, Randy “Thumper” Elder, Austin Shelton, Dawn Elder, Genevieve Elder, Andi Elder, Tiffany Elder, Mason Freeman, Emma Elder, Charlie W. Elder and Eric Freeman; siblings, Rodney Lee Brown Jr., Carol (Corky) Harder and Susan (Terry) Elder.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rodney Lee Brown Sr.; a daughter, Tiffany Shelton; and father and mother in laws, Thomas and Betty Elder.

Funeral service will be at 1pm, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Service, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford. Pastor Jim Schwalm will be officiating. Visitation will be from 12pm to 1pm on the day of service. Interment will be at Willwood Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be given to the family.
