Betty A. Pierce-Pink, 93, of Rockford, died Monday November 1, 2016. She was born in Rockford, Ill. On March 16, 1923, to William and Mary McKenzie. Betty was married first to Junior Pierce, and after his death to Herbert Pink. She lived for many happy years at the Luther Center, from there Betty often enjoyed going for long walks, and could often be seen strolling around downtown Rockford.
Survivors include; niece Tina (Pat) Stine; nephews, Michael Vasseur, Steven Vasseur, and Craig (Sue) Vasseur. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by; parents; husbands; son Terry Pierce; brother William McKenzie Jr.
Graveside services Fri. Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens 8800 North Alpine Road Machesney Park, IL. The family would like to thank Dr. Deveshwar and her cardiac staff for their wonderful care of Betty. Condolences to advantagefunerals.com
