Brent E. Huber, 51, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, with those closest to him by his side. Brent was born in Elgin, Illinois, on May 1, 1974. He was dedicated to his work, spending over 20 years with North American Van Lines.
Brent was a true man’s man. He was tough, loyal, and strongly charismatic. He put his children, grandchildren, siblings, and even friends above him. He loved people. Brent loved a good scary movie, especially Friday the 13th. His music taste was diverse, anywhere from country, to metal, to rap. When the weather was nice, you could most definitely find him on his motorcycle or working in the garage. Brent had an immense love for the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls, but he hated the Cubs with a deep passion.
He is survived by his children, Amanda Smith (Justin Warnock), Sydney Huber, Brittany Huber, Destiny Huber, and Caleb Huber; bonus kids, Layney Harbison and Maxine Bailey; grandchildren, Capri Huber, Valarie Warnock, Lilith Warnock, and Issac Warnock; mother, Nancy Hall; siblings, Brian (Joyce) Huber, Holly Huber (Lindgren), Christopher Huber, and Michael Huber; chosen brothers, Nate Sebright and Shawn Dziewior; many nieces and nephews, Samantha Wilkening, Christopher Huber, Cori Huber (Josh Palmer), Cody Huber, Cameron Huber, Sara Lindgren, and Courtney Huber; 5 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Hall.
A Celebration of Life for Brent will be announced in the coming days.
