Charlotte Givhan, age 66, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.She was born July 27, 1958 to William Gerald Kidwell and Mildred Agnes (Siczmore) in Kansas. She married the love of her life, Christopher Givhan in July of 1983 and they spent 40 wonderful years together before he passed in 2024. Charlotte served our country in the Navy before becoming a registered nurse. She enjoyed watching tv, especially crime shows. She liked to knit and make diamond paintings. Charlotte also enjoyed playing BINGO.
She is survived by her children, Amy Givhan, Arik Givhan, and Amber Givhan; grandchildren, Davina Givhan-Pulliam, Teontrae Givhan, and Arik Givhan Jr.; great-grandson, Exavier Hunt; and sisters, Melba Walker and Wilma Elder.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Givhan; parents, William and Mildred Kidwell; and sister, Pauline Kessler.
