Eva Mae Luster

Eva Mae Luster, 84,of Rockford, passed away from a long time illnes on Oct. 19, 2011 in her home with her daughter by her side. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Corinth, MS, the daughter of Frank and Katie Patterson. Eva lived in Corinth for many years before coming to Rockford. She was married to the former Edward Luster . Eva was employed by the Ace Laundry and the Gaylord Family for many years. She attended schools in Corinth, MS. She was an active person who loved planting flowers, working in the yard and spending time with her grandchildren. Eva is survived by one daughter, Genevieve (Eddie) Pinkey-Clinton, step-daughter Betty (Eddie) James, stepson Willie (Pearl) Luster, three grandchildren Anthony (Whistle) Luster, Kevin (Lisa Lewis) Pearson, La'Shay Pinkey, two great-grandchildren Arbriana Luster and Ny'Risha Pearson, one brother Eddie (Doretha) Patterson, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her Parents, three sisters, three brothers, and one nephew Jerry Locke. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28, at 12 noon, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7000 W State St Rockford 61102. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
