Henry B. Lipinski, Jr. “Hank” of Loves Park, IL, passed away peacefully in the hospital on November 19th at the age of 79, following a brief illness. He was born on February 15, 1946, in Beloit, WI, to Henry B. Lipinski Sr. and Florence Lipinski, and was the beloved brother to Diane (Gere) Ablett, Victor (Diane) Lipinski, Louise (Rich) Stocker and Steve (Patty) Lipinski.
He graduated from South Beloit High School in 1964 and worked at the Beloit Foundry for several years before beginning his career as a Police Officer in Winnebago County. He served his community with dedication, courage and integrity for 28 years until his retirement in 2013.
Hank was a man of great pride—proud of his career, proud of his Harleys and his 1934 Ford Coupe, but above all, proud of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years and best friend, Tammy Lipinski, along with his legacy in his children: Paul (Penny) Lipinski, Lisa (Shannon) Lipinski, Heather (Todd) Haines, Nathan (Nina) Riggins, and Danielle (Leeann) Riggins. He was a devoted Grandpa to Jacob (Alyssa), Kaleb, Kaylie, Alex (Alyssa), Emerson, Chase, Bella, and Rhett, and a proud Great Grandpa to Lilly, EJ, Ivy, Addison and Ayla.
Hank will be remembered as a loyal friend, a steadfast protector, a man of his word, and a true force to be reckoned with. Known as a “Mr. Fix-It,” he was always ready to lend a hand. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan and never missed the chance to grab the microphone for a round of karaoke. Hank expressed his creativity as a talented tattoo artist and embraced life’s adventures with joy, whether riding his motorcycle or traveling in the “Peace Bus” with Tammy by his side.
Hank’s life was defined by devotion—to his family, his friends, and the community he served. He will be remembered not only for his strength and integrity, but for the warmth of his smile, the generosity of his spirit, and the countless ways he showed up for those he loved. His legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the stories shared by his many friends, and the enduring love of his wife and family.
Hank was preceded in death by both of his parents, brother-in-law, Gere, father-in-law Darwin Harwood and mother-in-law Ann Harwood.
