Janette Jean Fosler

Janette Jean Fosler, age 83, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was born April 9, 1942 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Helen and Clarence Steffen. Janette graduated from West High School, Class of 1960. She married her sweetheart, Jack L. Fosler, on June 24, 1960 after dating for 4 years. Janette was employed and retired from Warner Lambert. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janette dedicated her life to bringing people to Jesus. She was well known for her beautiful smile and loving nature. Janette volunteered over the years, whether serving in the nursery or preparing a meal for an event at church. She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, and reading her Bible through every year. Janette enjoyed playing Skip-bo. She served with Operation Blessing in Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina. Most of all, Janette loved her family, whether it was cooking a meal for them or just spending time together.

Janette is loved and missed by her husband of 65 years, Jack L. Fosler, Sr.; children, Cynthia (Warby) Beaumont, Christine Fosler, Jack Fosler, Jr., Justin Fosler; grandchildren, Courtney (Artie) Martinez, Carrie Beaumont, Brianna (Eric) Carlson, Rebekah (Cody) Andrews, Jared Fosler, Jack (Reanna) Fosler, III., Tiffany (Ken) Wiess, and Eric Fosler; great-grandchildren, Diego, Addison, Chase, Maison, Declan, Ellianna, Nolan, Raylin, Luna Janette, Heavynn and Brexton; sisters, Carol DeLong and Lori (Amos) Fry; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Ann Donaldson and brother Ernest Donaldson Jr.
