Joan L. Munson, 88, passed away November 9, 2020. She was born and raised in the city of Rockford. Joan graduated from Muldoon Girl’s School and went on to serve her community for over thirty years as an administrative clerk at the Rockford Newspaper. Joan was a talented artist, who enjoyed painting, photography, as well as drawing. She was an avid reader and gardener.
She is survived by her niece, Cindy, great niece, Nicole, great nephew, Shawn, great-great niece McKenna, and great-great nephews Antonio “Sprout,” Damian, and Chayton. She is also survived by numerous extended family whom she loved dearly.
She is predeceased by her parents; Daisy and Lawrence Munson, and sister, Betty. Services are private to family and burial at Willwood Burial Park.
