John L. Sparks, 77, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. John was born August 10, 1947, in Michigan to Tracy and Sarah Sparks. He was a hardworking man throughout his entire life, and made sure to always stay busy between work and projects at home. John’s family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystle Sparks, Denise Hubbard, and Lyricia (Scott) Johnson; step-children, Debbie (Danny) Williams, Mike Northrup, Dennis (Tricia) Northrup, and Diana Doolan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Sparks; parents, Tracy and Sarah Sparks.
