

Juanita McClure, age 83, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. Juanita was born in Huntsville, Alabama on November 7, 1939 to Gilbert and Mary Francis Craig. Juanita married the love of her life, Robert McClure on June 14th of 1956. She worked in many manufacturing jobs, her last being with Lorine Manufacturing before retiring in 1999. Juanita enjoyed sewing, she made many quilts. She enjoyed scratch offs, lottery tickets and gambling in general, taking trips to the casino was always something she looked forward to. Juanita was a great person to be around. She was always willing to help anyone who needed it.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Linda Slavings; grandchildren, Tim (Melissa) Hillers, Nikki (Bill) McClure, Zachary Hillers, Christopher (Mia) Slavings, and Joseph (Jordyn) Slavings; great grandchildren, Zander Slavings, Kadynce Slavings, Phoenix McClure-Coon, August and Evelyn Hillers, with two more on the way; sister, Louise Sullivan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McClure; daughter, Marinda Hillers; great grandson, Elijah McClure; parents, Gilbert and Mary Francis Craig; siblings, Della Price, Franklin Craig, Hobart Craig, and Shirley Ruminer
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 9am until the time of service at 10am at Advantage Funeral Home (7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102). Interment to follow in Willwood Burial Park.
