Kenneth Church Sr.

Kenneth A. Church, Sr., 86, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, June 8, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Kenneth was born on January 16, 1936 in Judson, MN, the son of Orlin and Edna (Ferrier) Church. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He married the love of his life, Annette Gille on May 22, 1954 in Rockford, IL. Kenneth was a truck driver for most of his career, retiring as a warehouse manager. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Kenneth was an avid collector of stamps and coins. Most of all, he was a huge family man who will deeply missed.

Kenneth is survived by his children; Terry (Steve) Munson, Karen (Keith) Casstevens, and Jerry Church; grandchildren, Anthony Bloomingdale, Sunshine Bloomingdale, Thomas Young, Amber Church, and Jean-Kai Munson; great-grandchildren, Chayten, Saydee, Saije, Salvatore, and Bruce; great-great-grandson, Jordan; siblings, Violet (Robert) King and Orlin Church; special nephew, Kenny Wienk as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Annette; son, Kenneth Church, Jr.; granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Bloomingdale; siblings, Clara Wienk, Mary (Leon) Livingston and LeRoy (Dorothy) Church.
