Marie C. Isaacson

Marie C. Isaacson, 87, of Berwyn, IL, passed away peacefully, early Friday morning, February 10, 2023 surrounded by love. She was born November 1, 1935 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Rucinski. She married James Green in 1952 and he preceded her in death. She was a strong, independent woman who raised eight beautiful daughters. Marie was employed in the housekeeping department for over 30 years at Fairfax Nursing Home in Berwyn. She was a member of Faith Community Church for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casino whenever she could. Marie loved knitting and crocheting. She liked being outdoors and watching old westerns. Marie is loved and missed by her children, Diane Green, Lynda (Edward) Melvin, Norma Porter, Doris (David) Hatton, Cynthia (Dennis) Mrowca, and Carol (Donald) Cepican; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny Remus and Steve Remus as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James; daughters, Rose (Bob) Strejc and Joyce Green; son-in-law, Billy Porter and several sisters. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Faith Community Reformed Church, 6825 40th Street, Stickney, IL 60402 with Rev. Christopher Poest and Rev.
