Martha S. Wayman

Martha S. Wayman, 82, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Saint Anne Center. She was born June 28, 1938 in Russellville, AL, the daughter of Hubert and Willie Mae (Montgomery) Quillen. Martha married the love of her life, Eddie O. Wayman on August 1, 1959 at Brooke Road United Methodist Church in Rockford. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Martha soaked in all of the family time that she could; she loved watching her grandchildren.

Martha is loved and missed by her sons, James (Pamela) Wayman, Thomas (Deborah) Wayman and Daniel (Wendy) Wayman; grandchildren, Jordan Wayman, Brianna (Kyle) Anderson, Alisha (Dan) Spencer, Angie, Tina, Heidi, Laura, Ashley (Josh Menchaca) Wayman, Amy (Devon) Statum and Ryan Wayman; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Terrell Quillen, Herbert Quillen, and Jerry Quillen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eddie on August 4, 2009, sisters, Gertrude, Shirley, and Betty Jean, and brother, JD

A private family funeral service will take place. A visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family.
