Michael Stan Bender, 53 of Machesney Park, Il. died Sunday, February 7, 2016. Born June 5, 1962 in Rockford, Il to Stanley and Virginia (Gould) Bender. He worked at Colonial Bakery for 10 years as a supervisor and salesman. Michael was a big White Sox and Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s fan. He was a handyman who liked to showcase his talents doing things all around the house. He enjoyed collecting things, and watching his favorite shows; Jerry Seinfield and It’s a Wonderful Life. Michael embraced the fond family memories made at the cabin at Castlerock, and Rainbow Resort in Waubun, Minnesota. He enjoyed the companionship of a good fishingpole and the comfort of his feline pets, Merven and Mia. Michael was a very loving husband and father.
