Nancy L. Martin, 75, of Winnebago, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday evening, March 23, 2026 at Serenity Hospice and Home. She born January 14, 1951 in Magnolia, AR, the daughter of Arvie and Ruth (Dixon) Johnson. Nancy graduated from Auburn High School, class of 1969. She married her sweetheart, John L. Martin, on June 14, 1969 in Rockford, IL at Halsted Baptist Church. Nancy worked Barber Colman in the small motors division from 1974-1992. She was proud to work as a barista at Cuppa Java in Winnebago. Nancy was a doting mother and grandmother, who would do anything for her family. She will be remembered as being a very loving and forgiving woman.
Nancy is loved and missed by her husband of 56 years, John L. Martin; daughter, Bonnie (Eric) Nofsinger; grandsons, Sean, Calvin (Chris) and Jaxon Nofsinger; sister, Mary Winsett; brother, Bill (Ruth) Johnson; as well numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Barbara Gail Martin, son Sean Lee Martin, siblings, Betty, Lamar, Alice and Bonnie.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, IL 61102. Burial will take place at Willwood Burial Park.
