Ralph Carter, 83, of Rockford passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his residence with family by his side. Ralph was born on November 18, 1934 in Kennett, MO, the son of Everett A. and Vestel (Watson) Carter. He married Leona J. Johnson on September 10, 1955. Ralph was a machinist and loved fishing. Ralph is survived by his wife Leona; daughter Jeanetta Jimenez; son Ralph D. Carter; 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Billy W. Carter. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Ronald Almanza; great-grandson Benjamin J. Jimenez; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a family memorial service will be at a later date. Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State Street in Rockford is assisting the family with arrangements.
