Richard James Keller

Richard worked for Gates Rubber Company for 30 years, then went to work for Specialty Screw. He loved mowing his yard, his pool, lifting weights and his favorite movie was “Rocky”. Richard was a man of kind thoughts and words, always willing to help anyone that he could. His greatest love was his family, he would do anything for them whenever they would ask.

Richard is survived by his daughter Rikki Keller; mother of his children Joan Keller; brothers: Shannon (Carlene) Keller, Jr., Mike (Lisa) Keller, Kevin (Teri) Keller and Patrick (Jeanne Jarosz) Keller; sister Lori Like; mother-in-law Helen Lawrence; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Shannon, Sr. and Evelyn; son Jory Keller and sister Tammy Hansberry.

A service to celebrate Richard’s life will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Firstborn Ministries 8213 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park; visitation for Richard will be from 12:30 - 2:00 pm at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Willwood Cemetery in Rockford.
