Richard "Papa Rick" E. Whiteaker, 73, of Beloit, WI, formerly of Rockford, IL, passed away, Saturday, April 3, 2026. He was born July 13, 1952 in Rockford, IL, the son of Leonard L. and Donna M. (Pierce) Whiteaker. Papa Rick worked as a carpenter for many years. He loved music and playing the drums in a band. Papa Rick enjoyed watching movies, especially AMC. He liked playing darts and socializing with friends.
Papa Rick is survived by his daughters, Dawn and Holly Manley; special grandson, Andre (Sarah) Luna; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael Whiteaker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Kenny and David Whiteaker.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in the future.
