Ronald B. "Ron" Baxter, 93, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, November 14, 2025. He was born December 14, 1931 in Rockford, IL, the son of Ralph and Mildred (Cummings) Baxter. Ron graduated from Monroe Center High School. He married Charlotte Clark on September 23, 1955 in New Milford, IL. Ron worked at Rockford Map Publishers for 45 years. He became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1961. He faithfully served his God, Jehovah, until his death. Ron was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who will truly be missed.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Lisa) Baxter and Deborah (Dave) Decker; grandchildren, Shawn (Michelle) Baxter and Tyler (Nica) Baxter; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Charlotte, and 8 siblings.
In accordance with his wishes, a private family service will be held.
