Sharon R. Scott, 78, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 in her home. Sharon was born in Colorado on October 18, 1944, before moving to Beloit, Wisconsin. She stayed in the Beloit area, attending local schools, and married Archie Ray Scott Jr. in November of 1967.
Sharon loved listening to music, especially country classics such as Dolly Parton and Charley Pride. Above all else, she loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren brought a special light to her life, and she looked forward to each moment she got to spend with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Phailin) Vongsouvanh; son, Mike Gillham; grandchildren, Mathew (Audrey), Matdy, Kavy, Felicity, Delilah, and Evan; great-grandchildren, Malana and Zayden; sister, Pamela Day; daughter-in-law, Melissa Scott; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Archie; sons, Gary Scott, Larry Scott, Terry Scott, and Gator Scott; parents, Charlotte and Ed; brother, Dean.
