Sherry K Dodge

Sherry Kay Dodge, 81, of Rockford, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Born on January 31, 1937 in Frankfurt, IN. Daughter of Homer and Esther (Johnson) Turpen. United in marriage to Ronald Patrick Dodge on July 26, 1958. He predeceased her on April 6, 2016. Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She took great pride in caring for her family and raising her children. Together with Ronald they traveled all over visiting friends and family. On those trips she found enjoyment in shopping the little specialty stores finding various foods and snacks.

Survived by her children, Brian Dodge, Terry (Julie) Dodge, Stacy (Don) Akers; grandchildren, Ben Dodge, Andrea (Eric) Nguyen, Aaron Dodge, Kaitlyn Dodge, Calvin Akers; great-grandchildren, Cameron Dodge, Elizabeth Nguyen, Emily Nguyen; sister, Sally (Mike) Booher; nieces and nephews. The family thanks all the special friends who shared many fun times with our parents. Special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice for all their loving care.
