Steven A. "Steve" Tresemer, 77, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday evening, April 4, 2026. He was born April 21, 1948 in Rockford, IL, the son of Warren and Leona (Youngman) Tresemer. Steve graduated from Auburn High School and went on to proudly graduate from Western Illinois University. Steve played football during high school and college, even playing for the Rockford Rams. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Julie Wells on August 3, 1984. Steve worked for the local carpenters union for many years. He was an incredibly skilled carpenter who built his home. He went on to retire from Liebovich Bros. Steve was a huge Chicago Sports fan. Steve instilled his love for sports in his sons, he was very active and involved in all of their sporting events. He was a devoted family man. He will be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Daniel Tresemer and Jacob (Brittany) Tresemer; grandchildren, Alexia, Nolin, Mason and Henry; brother Gary Tresemer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis Tresemer.
