

Tyler Thomas Trosper passed away on January 24, 2026. He was born on June 14, 1982 in Rockford, Illinois to Richard and Kay Trosper. Tyler graduated from Hononegah High School in 2000. For 25 years, he worked as a service employee at Schnucks, a role he took great pride in. His strong work ethic, reliability, and kindness left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.
Sports brought Tyler great joy, and he was a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and St. Louis Blues. He followed his teams with enthusiasm, enjoying not just the games themselves but the excitement and connection they brought. Racing was another passion of his, especially NASCAR and time spent at Jefferson Speedway. The energy of the track and the thrill of the races were moments he truly cherished. He also enjoyed WWF, movies, and playing video games. Bowling was another pastime he enjoyed, offering time to relax and share laughter with others.
He was known for his kind heart and gentle spirit, always making others feel welcome and at ease. One of his greatest joys was becoming an uncle, a role he embraced with pride and excitement, happily saying he had “leveled up to being an uncle”.
Above all else, he loved his family and friends. Spending time with them and being in their presence meant everything to him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and love that will be deeply missed and remembered.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Richard and Kay Trosper; brother, Todd (Ashley) Trosper; his favorite nephew and niece, Theo and Ayla; grandmother, Norma Jean Trosper; friends, Cody, Dan and John; aunts, Connie (Al) Wilson; cousin, Tracy and daughter Savanna; uncles, Matt (Lori) Trosper and Mike (Lisa) Dever; cousins, Brooklyne, Katlynn, Tiler, and Brandon; many more aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Q. Trosper, Barbara L. Graham, and Clarence Graham
A Celebration of Life for Tyler will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Park Lanes (5318 N 2nd St, Loves Park, IL 61111) from 1pm to 5pm.
