Virgie V. Lameyer, aged 93, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born September 2, 1932 to Fred and Evelyn (Ridgeway) Rauch in Mt Morris, Illinois. She graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1950 and was employed for many years at the Montgomery Ward Catalog Department and Loves Park Radio WLUV. She married Hiram E. Lameyer on September 5, 1953.
She is survived by her son, Bruce E. Lameyer; brother, LeRoy Rauch; dear friend, Sue; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn Rauch; husband, Hiram Lameyer; children, Virgil Lameyer and Brad Lameyer; and siblings, Evelyn Mae Jacobson, Darlene Stoker, Violet Crowley, and Lawrence Rauch.
A visitation for Virgie will be held on Tuesday, November 18 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W State St, Rockford, IL 61102 with a service to follow at 10:00 am.
