Willis Dwain Deen, 78, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2013, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born, December 18, 1934 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Zack and Notie (Parker) Deen. Willis went on to marry the love of his life Teresa L. Crown on December 9, 1955.
Willis was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He worked at Mechanics Borg Warner, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa; children, Terry (Lynn) Deen, Larry Deen, and Sherry (Mike) Patton; grandchildren, Terri Jo, Kristin, Nikki, Jacob, Zachary, Eric, Jessica, Christopher, Andrea, Michelle, and Danielle; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents; siblings, Artie, Rufus, Marze, Vouleen, Henry, Gladys, Troy, and JC; father-in-law, Robert L. Crown; son-in-law, Don Ganus; daughter-in-law, Vickie Deen; and brother-in-law, Ronnie Crown.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford. Pastor Herman Brown officiating.
