He was born in in Rumford, Maine on August 6, 1966 a son of Raymond E. and Earline J. (Buck) Hoyt.
Mike was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Rumford High School Class of 1985.
He was a potato farmer for 20 plus years having been employed with Ladd Farms and Sunday River Farms.
Mike enjoyed watching the car races and working on race cars. He also enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling.
He also enjoyed spending time after work with his friends at Mark Theriault’s Garage.
Surviving are his mother and father, Raymond and Earline Hoyt of Rumford, uncle Francis W Hoyt of Rumford; maternal grandmother Addie Childs of Peru; two brothers, Randy Hoyt and wife Naomi of Rumford, and Edward Hoyt and wife Stacy of Bethel; nieces and nephews, Kayla Castangway and husband Keith, Andrew Hoyt and companion Jessica, Draven, Feliciti-Love, Tyra, Hanah, Taylor and Alexis; great niece Kaley and great nephew Kolin.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Ralph Hoyt, his paternal grandparents Wayland and Flora Hoyt, his uncle Ernest “Gidge” Childs, and an aunt Shirley McKenna.
