Gerald J Cote

He was born on June 30, 1925 in Rumford the son of Amedee Cote and Corrinne (Fisher) Cote.

On July 2, 1949, he married Yvette (Grenier) Cote, and had 8 children. He worked at the paper mill in Rumford for 40 years.

He loved growing flowers, his vegetable garden, and this year he grew sunflowers over 9 feet tall! Gerald and Yvette spent 17 years at Worthley pond and enjoyed every minute, but Dad's dream was to spend winters in Florida after he retired. The years he was there he enjoyed walking to the restaurant for breakfast and scratch tickets in the morning and lunch and bowling with all of his friends in the afternoon.

Gerald is survived by his children; a son Gerald J. Cote Jr., and his wife Jennie of Barrington N.H., a daughter, Constance M Shurtleff, of South Paris, a son Robert A Cote, and companion Jackie Brown of Rumford, a son Daniel R Cote, and his wife Robin of Mulvaine KS, a daughter, Carol A Pingree of Mexico, a son, Richard J Cote, and wife Tammy of Rumford, a daughter, Cynthia M Wardwell, and companion Carl Witas of Canton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Yvette, and a son David Cote.
