

Augusta – Henry J. Arsenault, age 91, formerly of Swift River Rd. in Mexico, a lifelong resident of the River Valley, passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Glenridge Long-term Care in Augusta, following a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Mexico, Maine on January 29, 1925 a son of Calais and Winnifred (Gaudet) Arsenault.
Henry was educated in Mexico schools. He served in WWII in the US Army Aircorp.
He married Avis McMillan on September 20, 1958 and they have celebrated 57 years of marriage together.
Henry was employed for over 40 years with Boise Cascade Paper Co. and was a member of the 25 and 40 year clubs.
He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.
Henry loved hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling; and was a member of the Webb River Sportsman Club and the Sportsman Alliance of Maine.
Surviving are his wife, Avis (McMillan) Arsenault of Woodlands at Hallowell; three children, Mark A. Arsenault and wife Lisa of Mexico, Laurie Tilton and husband Harvey of Carthage, and Andrea Nadeau and husband Andrew of Windsor, ME; two brothers, Urbain “Joe” Arsenault and wife Sylvia of Rumford and Benny Arsenault and wife Celia of Rumford; and a sister, Lorraine Poirier and husband Bernard of Rumford; six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Edward, Raymond and Alvin Arsenault, and a sister, Mildred Jamison.
The family would like to thank the staff at Glenridge and Beacon Hospice, for the wonderful care given to Henry.
