

He was born October 31, 1942 in Mexico, Maine, the son of Emily Sinclair and Harold True.
Lawrence was a resident of this community most of his life. He was a student in the Mexico school district and served in the US Navy. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing the guitar. He recently became interested in baseball card collecting and trading.
Over the years, he was employed at Bass Shoe, Thurston’s Mill and Highland Lumber. Prior to fighting his battle with diabetes and blindness, he was employed at the Mexico Mobile Station.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Gaudet/Arsenault) True, daughter Debbie Virgin and husband Steve of Dixfield, son Ernie Arsenault and companion Lynn of Waterboro, son Chris Arsenault and companion Debbie Gallant of Rumford, daughter Darcy Arsenault and companion Chuck Putnam of Rumford, daughter Sherri True of Rumford, sons Matthew True and Billy True, sister Christine Thereau and husband Dick, brothers Vernon True, Klaus True, and Robin True and wife Sophie. Other survivors include several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents and daughter Lisa Arsenault.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to VA nurse Penny Dennison, the staff at Umbagog Dialysis Center in Wilton, Med-Care Ambulance, and the Trauma staff at Rumford Hospital for the wonderful care given to Larry, and a special thank you to Mike Mickeriz for driving him to and from his dialysis appointments.
