He was born in Rumford Maine on June 30, 1950 a son of William R. and Zula (Wheeler) Galarneau.
Lennie was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School.
He owned and operated Rumford Hand Car Wash for several years. He was a baker by trade and was employed at Dunkin Donuts and most recently at Georgio’s in Auburn.
He also delivered the Sun Journal in Dixfield for several years.
Surviving are his children, William Galarneau and wife Melissa of North Carolina, Amanda Galarneau of Berwick, and Sara Glover of Kentucky; two brothers, Peter W. Galarneau and wife Susan of Virginia, and Harry Galarneau and wife Sue of Dixfield; five grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
