Mary Eunice Smith

She was born in Bowdoin, Maine on May 8, 1943 a daughter of Lendall and Lillian (Palmer) Bickford.

Mary was educated in Wilton and Mexico schools. She married Clarence D. Smith on August 8, 1959 and together they celebrated 55 years of marriage. She had been employed at Bennett’s Shoe Shop, Dicks Restaurant, and Jim’s Carpet Barn.

Mary loved making hand-made Quilts for her family and friends; and she also enjoyed doing cross stitching.

Mary also loved to cook and make homemade gingerbread men for her grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her little dog “Annie.”

Surviving are her husband Clarence D. Smith of Mexico; two sons, Timothy Smith and wife Carol of Mexico and Joey Smith of Mexico; a sister Brenda Diconzo and husband Dennis of Rumford; two brothers, John Bickford and wife Brenda of Industry and Fred Bickford and wife Gail of Georgia four grandchildren, Joshua Smith and wife Mary, Janelle Smith, Jamie Smith and Cody Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Kingston Bickford and a sister-in-law Linda Bickford, and stepsister Virginia Buck.
