Rebecca "Becca" Lynn Cushman

Rebecca Lynn Cushman, age 21 of Somerset St. in Rumford, died Saturday August 20, 2011 from injuries received in an automobile accident in Wisconsin.She was born in Lewiston, Maine on July 26, 1990, the daughter of Michele (Paulin) and Robert Cushman Jr. Rebecca was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mountain Valley High School, class of 2008. Following graduation she attended USM in Gorham and the Air and Travel Academy in Washington State. She was employed at Olympia Sports in Rumford, Matterhorn Ski Bar in Newry, and currently was working as a Nanny in Chicago, Illinois.Rebecca enjoyed playing softball and dancing. Her love in life was big pickup trucks, camouflage, and John Deere tractors.Her family remembers Rebecca as a very spontaneous, fun loving, outgoing, spunky person just full of life and very family oriented.She is survived by her mother Michele Cushman and companion Matthew Winston of Rumford, her father Robert Cushman Jr and wife Angela of Dixfield, sister Stephanie Cushman of Rumford, step brother John Lyle Calden of Dixfield, step sister Lauren Calden, of Dixfield, Maternal Grandparents Joseph and Martha Paulin of Mexico, Maternal Great Grandmother Josephine Briggs of Dixfield, Paternal Grandparents Robert and Jennie Cushman of Mexico, Paternal Great Grandfather Donald Cushman of Dixfield, Uncle Mark Paulin and wife Meesha and their children Gabriel, Cole, Mason, and Brent, Aunt Marie Gauvin and husband Scott and their children Caleb and Curtis, Aunt Melinda Morin and husband Lee and their children Emily, Nick, and Blayke, Aunt Michelle Walton and partner Lisa Bourret and their children Ryan, Chris, and Sarah, Aunt Tracey Cummings and husband Aaron and their children Samantha and Katelyn.

Notice – Rebecca Lynn Cushman, age 21 of Rumford, died August 20, 2011 in Wisconsin. Visiting hours will be held Thursday August 25, from 3 to 8 pm at S.G. Thibault Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday August 26 at Parish of the Holy Savior, 126 Maine Ave. Rumford. Interment will follow in St John Cemetery.
