Betty L. Lankford

Mrs. Betty L. Lankford, 87, of Olney, MD and formerly of Salisbury passed away peacefully with her family on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Friends Assisted Living in Sandy Spring, MD. Born May 17, 1929 in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Lola Ward and Linwood Phippin. Her husband of 54 years, Paul M. Lankford preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Hampp and husband Charlie of Olney, MD; One Grandson, David Hampp of Olney, MD. In addition to her husband, Betty is also preceded in death by one daughter, Susan A. Lankford. A Life Well Celebrated Service to honor Betty’s life will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM and visitation with the family an hour prior at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21804. Rev. J. Harvey Dixon will officiate. Burial will conclude at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. At the family’s request, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Friends Assisted Living, 17340 Quaker Lane, Sandy Spring, MD 20860.
