Candace Bickell Supe “Candy” passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on January 19, 1946 in Williamsport Pennsylvania. Candy moved with her family to the Eastern Shore and was a 1963 graduate of Wicomico High School. She tended chickens, worked for 23 years as a teller for the Farmers Bank of Willards, and prided herself on balancing out to the penny. After retiring from the bank, Candy and her husband became co-owners of a restaurant, the Village Inn, in Parsonsburg where “Miss Candy” greeted everyone with a smile. Since retiring, full time Candy enjoyed life to the fullest going to the beach, attending concerts and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. Candy was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor; brothers, Steve and Johnny; father in law, Elmer Supe and mother in law, Lillian Supe.
Candy is survived by her husband, Dennis Supe; daughter, Rhonda (Dave); son, Andy (Jenifer); son, Den (Lindsey); several grandchildren, Daniel (Brittany), Dylan, Gracie, Sam, Ethan, Nolan; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to make donations to either Coastal Hospice or Wicomico High Class of ‘63.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
