

Carl H. Parkinson, 71, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Genesis Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Raised in Mt. Vernon he was the son of the late Clifford K. Parkinson, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Jones Parkinson. Carl worked for Dresser-Wayne Industries for 35 years and at ECI as a correctional officer for 5 years. He was a member of Siloam House of Fellowship and past member of the Power Squadron. He loved to travel, play BINGO, western movies, and spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his kindness to everyone. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mona Parkinson; stepson, Joey Tingle (Ashley Will); special grandson whom he adored, J.J. Tingle; sister, Anne Holland; two brothers-in-law, Danny and Donnie Causey; special friend, Bruce Tingle; several nieces and nephews; and a half-sister, Eva Chin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Clifford K. Parkinson, Jr. The family would like to thank Genesis Nursing Home and PRMC for all of their loving care and a special thank you to his physical therapist at Genesis, Alexis. A Celebration of Carl’s life will be held Thursday at 7pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call from 5pm-7pm. Rev. Danny Travers will officiate. Interment will be held Friday 11am at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Carl to Siloam House of Fellowship, C/O Danny Travers, 224 Sandcastle Blvd, Fruitland, MD 21826.
