Cheryl Lynn Green, 69, of Hebron passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at her home. Born March 16, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Gertrude Kenney. Cheryl gave birth to her son, El, as she called him in 1972, they loved to go to auctions and yard sales together. She loved to host family and friends in “Cheryl’s Crab Shack” in their backyard or cook on their outdoor brick grill. Cheryl was a master of crochet, making many blankets and scarves for her favorite people and even baby clothes for her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener with a passion for flowers and even saved the seeds for the next season. Zinnias, impatiens, lilies, and marigolds lined the walkway to her front door and Gary built her a garden straight out of a fairytale with a water fountain, lattice arch, and all kinds of flowers. It was in that very garden Cheryl married the love of her life Olie Gary Green on Saturday, August 30th, 2003, surrounded by family and friends, and together they shared a love some people search a lifetime for. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Gertrude; daughter-in-law, Angela Collins; nephew, Robert Miller, and beloved dog, Finale. She is survived by her husband, Olie Gary Green; son, Alexander “Alex” Collins, Jr. (Katie Herman); stepson, Scotty Green (Holly); grandchildren, Jeffrey Layton, Alex Collins III, Lilly Collins (Hunter Townsend), and Jake Collins (Vivian), Candice Tapman (Hayward) , Morgan Hurley, Seth Green, Caleb Green, Mason Green; great-grandchildren, Neveah, Damyan, Elizabeth, Case, Oakley, Lilly Tapman, Hunter Christian, Faye Harrison, and Wrenley Robinson; brother, David E.
