Cornelia “Corrie” Johanna Vanderwolk Johnson, 91, of Salisbury passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Bay Harbor. Born November 29, 1934, in Orange, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Pieter and Mary Sherriff Vanderwolk.
She was a long-time employee of Schmidt Bakery in Salisbury. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren’s sporting and school events.
She is survived by four children, Leslie Michalik (Jeff), Dave Johnson (Terry), Ken Johnson, and Chris Johnson (Susan); ten grandchildren; Danny Hebberecht (Liza), Brett Johnson (Ashley), Corey Johnson (Jean), Terry Johnson, Tessa Beres (Kevin), Donnie Ebersole (Heather), Samantha Johnson, Katie Young (Zak), and Kimberly Michalik (Elinton), and Jimmy Tackitt (Brandye); sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Johnson, a great-granddaughter, a brother, and three sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10 am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Rev. Fred Duncan with officiate.
