Dorothea “Dottie” McGee, 78, of Parsonsburg passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born October 6, 1943 in DeRidder, Louisiana she was the daughter of the late Charles Louis LeBon and Barley B. Strecener LeBon.
Dottie was known for her beautiful flower designs. You could often see her at the Laurel Flea Market where she would enjoy socializing with everyone. She was a devout Christian and was a member of Salisbury Baptist Temple. She enjoyed being outdoors, spending time in her gardens but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Thomas and her husband Andrew; grandchildren, Bobby Smith and her husband, Jeremy, Crystal Marie Williams and her husband, Demetrias, Justin Hudson, Brandon McGee, great-grandchildren, Kayla Marie Wilkins, Benjamin Jacob Smith, Cody Tanner Smith, Leila, Jordan and Jasmine; brothers, Benny Marion LeBon, Harry “Ricky” LeBon, Timothy L. LeBon and his wife Diane, George “Georgie” M. LeBon and his wife Kathleen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude McGee; son, Lenny McGee; two daughters, Sara Tocyloski McGee and Wanda Devine; brothers, Charles L. LeBon, sisters, Bobby Sue Wojciechowski and Beulah Patricia Seymer.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Rev Carlo Leto and Rev. Oren Perdue will officiate. Interment will be held Wednesday at 12:15pm at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, MD.
