Dorothy "Dot" Truitt West

Dot worked as a seamstress at Gant Shirt Factory for 30 years. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping and going to Blue Grass Festivals.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Huston and her husband, Ronnie; two grandsons, Richie Peterman and his wife, Delores and Pete Peterman and his wife, Sherry; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Clifford R. West, Jr. in 2008; two brothers, and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 11am at Bounds funeral home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens.
