Edna J Wampler

Edna Mae Johnson Wampler, 78, of Salisbury passed Monday, June 2, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born in Sneedsville, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Maxie Purkey Johnson.She worked as a Teacher’s Aide for many years in Wicomico County and enjoyed collecting antiques. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Salisbury and the VFW Post 194.She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Raymond L. Wampler; three children, Deborah W. Fairbank of Sherwood, MD, C. Dean Wampler and his wife Beth of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Dennis Wampler and his wife Lisa of Allen; five grandchildren; brother, William Johnson and his wife Mary of Baltimore; sister, Judy Young and her husband Jimmy of Baltimore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters.A funeral service will be held Thursday at 4PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 1416 Old Ocean City Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Theresa Langdon will officiate. Interment will be held Friday at 1PM at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1416 Old Ocean City Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804 or Coastal Hospice, P.O.
