

George served in the United States Navy from 1951-1954. He retired from Black and Decker in 1990. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church and participated in a prison ministry and volunteered in homeless shelters in North Carolina. George was an avid boater and spent extensive time on the Chesapeake Bay fishing and exploring ports of call with his wife of 36 years, Lourdes.
He is survived by his wife, Lourdes Winsor; two children, Rhonda Winsor and Mark S. Winsor and his wife Susan; two stepsons, Mark E. Schlenker and his wife Sandy and David A. Schlenker and his wife Adrienne; grandchildren, Brian, Renee, Sarah, Kenneth, Matthew, Brandon, Lexi, Noah, Garrett, and Allyah; six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Hedges and Florence Winsor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two stepson, Rob and Howard Schlenker.
A Celebration of George’s Life with Military Honors will be held Thursday at 4pm at Providence Presbyterian Church, 311 Parker Road, Salisbury, MD where friends may visit from 3pm-4pm. Rev.
