Jack was the leader on our JJGG paint crew. We had fun and made a strong bond that lasted among our crew. Good times and fine friends all of us. He is missed by all. Geoff Smoot

He was a great teacher for me at Bennett Junior High back in the seventies. What a great sense of humor and a great man. So sorry I missed his service. Thanks Mr. Jack Williar for all you were to me, your family, and your country!

I'm so sorry to see this. Mr. Williar was one of my teachers at Bennett. I'm 60 now. I remember him as being very nice . One of a few teachers that I liked. My prayers go out to the family.

Mr. Williar was a special teacher who cared about each student. I was in his history class at Wi Jr in 1964. I did not know then  that “Mr. Williar” would have a lifelong positive impact on me and many other students. I still remember some of the stories he told and I smile.

Leslie and family....I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I first met Jack on the Wicomico Board of Ed's Paint Crew back in the mid 70's. He became a good friend and lived near me on the Eastside of Salisbury. We rode to the Paint Crew together...cut firewood together and laughed together. In the past years we out to breakfast and I visited him at his home many times. He will certainly be missed by me...especially his hearty laughter.....Terry Dix of Salisbury

I knew Jack for over fifty years - we first met at Wi Junior where we taught together - I used to get entertained by Jack calling in sick then showing up with his lesson plans wearing duck hunting gear!! We also worked for many years on the county paint crew - we were known as the JJGG crew with Jack the foreman - we literally left our mark in many schools by autographing our work with JJGG caption in a hidden location! Jack had a great sense of humor and was one of the GOOD GUYS in this world who always said he lived a good life. He will be sorely missed but long remembered - my condolences to all his family and friends - Geoff Smoot      

Mr Williar is one of the few teachers who stands out in my memories of Wi Jr High during 1970 to 72. His stories were legendary. He cared about every student. I was pretty shy and I remember him as one who drew me out and made me feel a bit more confident about myself. He had to be pretty special to bring to mind such good memories after so many years. My condolences to the family.
