

Howard Kendal Hudson, 89, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Williamsville, DE he was the son of the late Rollie Plummer and Achsah Daisey Hudson.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War on the USS Midway aircraft carrier and the USS Sierra. He served for 4 active years and 4 reserve years. Mr. Hudson worked as a Salesman for the Coca Cola Bottling Company for over 25 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed boating, camping, spending time in Florida, loved animals and watching his grandson race go-karts.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley Parsons Hudson; daughters, Susan K. Hudson and her husband James Talley, IV and Pamela A. Matthews and her husband David; two grandchildren, Richie Hornsby and Angeleia Talley; two step granddaughters, Jenny Hastings and her husband Phillip and Kenzie Matthews; step great-granddaughter, Kendyl Hastings; sister, Phyllis Hudson Meyer; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 11am at Mariners Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 81 Central Avenue, Ocean View, DE 19970. Rev. Dr. Sally Dolch will officiate. A time of fellowship with the family will be held Monday at 1pm at Zion United Methodist Church, 31104 Zion Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
